Animal Shelter receives Wal-Mart grant

The City of Springdale Animal Services received a $1,250 contribution from the Wal-Mart Foundations Community Grants and VAP Programs.  This grant was obtained, in large part, through the diligence of shelter volunteer/pet fosterer, and Wal-Mart employee Rhonda McKinney.  A portion of this grant was made to the Springdale Animal Shelter in recognition of Ms. McKinney's dedication to her volunteer efforts in assisting the homeless animals of Springdale.Walmart Donation to Animal Services July

The grant was presented by Wal-Mart management, accompanied by Ms. McKinney on July 15th at the Springdale Animal Shelter,

These vital funds provided from Wal-Mart will directly benefit the animals we shelter.  Through continued education of our community about responsible pet ownership, vaccination, and the advantages of spaying and neutering, we hope to secure more life-long homes for the animals we serve.

We appreciate the continued support of the businesses and citizens of Springdale.  Their dedication and generosity help make it possible for us to provide exemplary care for our community's animals, and quality customer service to our citizens.

Anyone interested in adopting, donating, or volunteering is encouraged to contact Springdale Animal Services in person, or by telephone at (479)750-8163.
