Criminal Mischief Reports
On 1/30/12 Springdale Police Department took multiple reports involving criminal mischief on the east side of Springdale. The suspects possibly used some type of pellet gun to shoot out windows on motor vehicles. The suspects were seen driving a newer model extended cab red pickup truck. Any persons with information regarding this investigation should contact the Springdale Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 479-750-8139. Timothy Brent Goodman
On January 31, 2012 Timothy Brent Goodman (age 23 of Springdale) was arrested on forty-four counts of Forgery 2nd Degree.
Over the last two weeks, Goodman forged multiple checks at the Harp's stores in Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers and Centerton, Harbor Freight Tools in Springdale and The Hardware Store in Fayetteville. Additional stolen checks and two stolen credit cards, which belonged to his deceased mother, were found in Goodman's possession.
Items Taken From Unlocked Vehicles
On January 27, 2012 the Springdale Police Department received three calls from Child Daycare Centers in reference to vehicles being entered while the parent takes the child inside the center. Purses and other valuables were taken.
The suspect vehicle is a red or maroon Toyota van with a Colorado vehicle license of 478XPF. Anyone who locates this van is encouraged to contact the Springdale Police Department at 479-751-4542.
This activity appears to be an on-going problem across the southern United States.
The Springdale Police Department encourages everyone to lock your vehicle, no matter how long you will be gone. Also, do not keep valuables in plain sight. Lock them in a compartment or in the trunk.
Jonathan Bruce Lively
On January 26, 2012 Jonathan Lively was stopped in a vehicle for traffic violations and possessed a bottle with approximately 1 gram of marijuana, a baggy with approximately 6.3 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe with marijuana residue, a black Bulova watch, a Casio watch, a silver Bulova watch and a pill bottle with 90 Tramadol pills. The pill bottle had a different name on the label which matched the name of a victim in burglary report.
The victim of the burglary was notified and was able to identify the two Bulova watches (valued at $1400.00) and the Tramadol pills.
Lively was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary (felony), Theft of Property (felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana (misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled substance – Tramadol (misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and three traffic violations.
Juveniles Arrested for Marijuana
On January 24, 2012 a School Resource Officer was called to Helen Tyson Middle School in reference to a fourteen year old student who had purchased a small bag of marijuana from another fourteen year old student on the bus after school on January 23, 2012.
The student which purchased the marijuana and was still in possession of it was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The student that sold the marijuana was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance.
Aaron Jamal Walton
On January 19, 2012 Officers responded to 2321 Orchard in reference to an Attempted Robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the twenty-seven year old male victim. The victim was getting in his truck when he was charged from behind by an unknown black male. The victim stated the suspect was wearing a black hoodie with his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet and after the victim denied him twice, the suspect struck the victim in the mouth with his right fist and ran across the parking lot and up the stairs.
Detectives gained knowledge of a possible suspect and the victim was able to identify the suspect, Aaron Jamal Walton (age 19 of Springdale), from a photo line-up on January 24, 2012. Officers located Walton and he was arrested without incident. Walton denied any involvement and was charged with Attempted Robbery and Battery 3rd Degree. |
