Mosquito Control Spraying

The City of Springdale Public Works Department is responsible for mosquito control in the city. Our department generally begins fogging around 6 p.m. and continues until about 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It is best that we spray in the evenings so that the wind has usually died down and the mist we spray stays more in the general area instead of blowing the particles so fast and so far apart that they have no effect on the treated area. We will not spray during strong winds or rain because it makes spraying ineffective. Spraying usually begins in the spring and is stopped when the cooler weather comes in the fall.

We try to get through an entire quarter of town per evening. On Monday evenings, we spray the area of town that is north of Highway 412 and west of 71 Business. On Tuesday evenings, we spray the area of town that is south of Highway 412 and west of 71 Business. On Wednesday evenings, we spray the area of town that is south of Highway 412 and east of 71 Business. On Thursday evening, we spray the area of town that is north of Highway 412 and east of 71 Business.

If you would like more specific information on the product that we spray for mosquito control, please visit the Downloads section of our web page and view the MSDS Mosquito Fogging Information link.
