This well-loved ca. 1910 toy monkey belonged to Frances Slaughter, who was born in Goshen, Arkansas in 1905. The photo shows the Slaughter family about 1906. From left to right: Lona holding Frances, Vera, and Ada Slaughter. They are accompanied by Dan the horse and Belle the doll.

Both the monkey and the photo were donated by Frances' daughter, Ada Lee Shook.
