Durham (Washington County), ca. 1900, when the town was a stop on the St. Paul Branch of the Frisco Railroad. Tracks were laid in 1887 from Fayette Junction, just south of Fayetteville, and eventually extended all the way to Pettigrew (Madison County). The railroad hauled freight and passengers until the tracks were taken up in 1937.

Find Durham and all the stops on the St. Paul Branch on a 1901 map of Northwest Arkansas.
