We want to congratulate Lieutenant Jim Wyles on his promotion. Lt. James "Jim" Wyles joined the Springdale Police Department in June of 2008, beginning as a member of B shift patrol. In 2012, he was selected to be a Detective with the Criminal Investigation Division, where he started as an in-house narcotics detective and then served as a case Detective.
In 2015, Lt. Wyles was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he led Officers on both Day and Night Shifts, guiding them with his calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge. Lt. Wyles also led the Crime Suppression Unit. While still a Sergeant, he utilized his Investigation knowledge while leading Detectives in the Criminal Investigation Division, supervising the property crimes, person crimes, and narcotics task force throughout his tenure.
Lt. Wyles has been a member of the SWAT team since November of 2011, where he has served as an entry team member, breached, and currently serves as the assistant team leader.
Lt. Wyles has been married to his loving wife Angela since 2009, and they have two children, Jason and Hannah. Lt. Wyles is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Psychology Degree.
