SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS — June 30, 2025- Today, Mayor Doug Sprouse has made an
executive decision to allow residents to continue to discharge fireworks through Saturday, July 5,
2025 until 10:00 p.m.

This extended timeframe takes into account the holiday weekend, providing families and residents with greater flexibility to celebrate safely and responsibly. Additionally, the extension ensures that residents have the opportunity to enjoy Independence Day festivities even in the event of inclement weather or poor conditions on July 4, which could otherwise disrupt planned celebrations.

Mayor Sprouse encourages all residents to follow local safety guidelines, be respectful of neighbors, and prioritize safety while enjoying the extended holiday period.

Per Springdale, Arkansas City Ordinance, “…all legal fireworks, except aerial fireworks that
travel on a stick, may be discharged on private property between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
10:00 p.m. on July 1st through July 4th of any year, provided that the owner of the private
property consents to such discharge of the fireworks”.

Please note, all fireworks discharged after 10:00 p.m. are subject to penalties.
