The Fire Prevention Division consists of the department's Fire Marshal, who holds the rank of Battalion Chief, an Assistant Fire Marshal, who holds the rank of Captain, a Public Education Specialist / PIO, who also holds the rank of Captain, and 2 Civilian Fire Inspectors.
Activities
Activities of this division include Fire Inspection for compliance with Arkansas Fire Codes and City of Springdale Ordinances, Plans Review for new development, and Fire Investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires. In addition, this division coordinates and delivers Public Education activities within the community.
