The Springdale Police Department received a complaint of someone purporting to be from the Police Department, telling the person that they needed to pay fines for missing jury duty. The Springdale Police Department will not call nor will request in person for any money or payment in this manner. If you receive a call similar to this; DO NOT give out personal or financial information and contact. If you have fallen victim to this type of scam or any others please contact our police department at 751-4542 to file a police report.

Welcome Runners!! We are just a short time away from the Hogeye Marathon. Runners will be running throughout the city starting at 7:00AM. Runners will get priority as they go through intersections. Expect delays in your commute if you are traveling along the route. Please be courteous and have patience to runners, workers, and volunteers as we ensure a fun, safe race. As 4/20 approaches we want you to know that we are partnering with other law enforcement agencies and the NHTSA during their #ifyoufeeldifferentyoudrivedifferent campaign. Officers will be out looking for impaired drivers this weekend. So before you smoke,toke, or roll; please stay home or have a sober driver to and from your destinations.
Last Thursday we celebrated the graduations of our 8 new Officers from ALETA-NW. Congratulations Officers Donald Vaulner, Teylor Blair, Ryler Jackson, Brady Dugger, Marcus Strong, Nathan Herring, Anthony Townley, and Justin Huwa. (Photographed with Chief Gamble). Today we had a swearing in ceremony for three Building Security Officers. Ruby Brinkley, Nicholas Ainsworth, and Bryan McKee were sworn in by the Honorable Judge Jeff Harper. They are responsible for transports, detainees in our holding facility, and security for the Municipal Building; screening and greeting those that come into building. Congratulations to you all.

The Springdale Police Department will be out on patrol during the St Patrick's Day weekend looking out for impaired drivers. Please celebrate responsibly and have a designated driver or ride share.
Officers wear many hats throughout the day; but one Springdale Officers rarely get to put on is "horse whisperer". Officer Cox got the opportunity to put on the hat and bring this horse back to it's stable. Great work Officer Cox.

Officers spent time today speaking to different classes about community helpers and the different aspects of the job. Corporal Booth and his partner Oliver, along with Corporal Rhodes spoke with Pre-K at Monitor Elementary. Corporal Robertson demonstrated lifting fingerprints at Helen Tyson Middle School.
