SFD members participated in the 9/11 Memorial stair climb this morning. This event is hosted by the Razorback Army ROTC. Participants climbed 110 stories to remember all those that lost their lives that day. #teamspringdale #springdalefire
Today, some of our members competed in the Battle of the Badges against the Springdale Police Department. This was a kickoff event celebrating the grand opening of the new outdoor workout facility located at Murphy Park. Team SFD was Driver/Operator Noah Carter, Firefighter Hunter Collins, and Probationary Firefighter Jett Dennis. SFD squeezed by for the win! Job well done by all of the participants!
This week, Chief Blake Holte, along with other area fire departments' representatives, traveled to visit the West Metro Fire District in Denver. The purpose was to develop a better understanding of regional responses and to collaborate with West Metro Fire District and gain their perspective. Just another example of the teamwork and energy behind NWA Fire/EMS organizations.
Last night Battalion 1, Engine 1, and Engine 3 assisted Lowell Fire Dept with a commercial structure fire. Units were on scene for several hours assisting with suppression operations. #teamspringdale #springdalefire
We have 7 new firefighter recruits who are in week 2 of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Fire Academy. Over the course of their academy journey, we will be sharing periodic video clips of their progress. Stay tuned.

On Friday, Captain Hayden Dennis was working an overtime shift and had the good fortune to have his son Jett on his crew for the day. During their shift they respond to an apartment fire where they worked together on the initial attack.
B-shift crews responded to a working apartment fire yesterday. Upon arrival heavy fire and smoke was showing and the alarm was upgraded to a 2nd alarm. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Idalia Deployment Update: After riding out the storm, your deployed Springdale crew has been assigned to run Emergency 911 calls for Suwannee County Fire Rescue. They are currently stationed with Marco Island Fire Rescue, Greater Naples Fire Rescue and Suwannee Fire Rescue crews.
SFD members just returned from the 2023 Oklahoma Swiftwater Conference & Competition. This is a unique opportunity for first responders from across the country to train and learn at the best water rescue training facility in the United States. The conference offers water rescue training with instructors from across the United States. The instructors bring real-world experience through multiple national deployments and local responses to water rescue incidents. #teamspringdale #springdalefire

The Springdale Fire Department has deployed an ambulance to the Gulf Coast of Florida ahead of Hurricane Idalia. This request was part of a large Task Force to mobilize emergency medical crews for the State of Florida. This 3-person crew is currently staged and ready to provide ground ambulance support if needed.

B1, E2, E5, and L8 just finished up a large commercial dumpster fire at Black Oak Apartments. The fire was under control in 20 minutes.

Each summer, thousands of the most prominent fire and emergency service leaders from across North America and around the globe come to Fire-Rescue International (FRI). This year, we sent 6 of our Chief Officers and 4 of our Company Officers to Kansas City, Missouri to learn, network, and collaborate
We just upgraded all of our staff vehicles with new Zoll AEDS. Theses 18 AEDS will replace the ones that are currently being used in our staff vehicles that have been in use for quite some time now.
