Current square footage construction costs for 1 & 2 Family Dwelling (R-3) of wood frame construction (VB) as $94.06 per square foot heated space. Valuation table is available at the Plan review site (International Code Council).

For example: New Residential dwelling of 2000 sq ft: $94.06 X 2000 sq ft = $188,120.00 calculated valuation. Using the valuation of $188,120.00, go to the Building Permit Fees Chart

$1,000 and less

No fee, unless inspection required, in which case a $15 fee for each inspection shall be charged.

$1,000 to $50,000

$15 for the first $1,000 plus $5 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof, to and including $50,000.

$50,000 to $100,000

$260 for the first $50,000 plus $4 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof, to an including $100,000.

$100,000 to $500,000

$460 for the first $100,000 plus $3 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof, to and including $500,000.

$500,000 and up

 

To calculate the estimated cost of the permit: Round up to the next Thousand: $189,000.00. $460.00 for the first $100,000. $267.00 for the remaining $89,000 at $3.00 for each additional thousand. $727.00 Permit Fee + $5.00 Permit box = $732.00 Total

Residential Certificate of Occupancy

A Certificate of Occupancy will be issued when the required permits are obtained, and the required inspections have been completed indicating with reasonable assurance that the building is safe for occupancy. Building cannot be lawfully occupied without Certificate of Occupancy.
