Storm Water Program

For the citizens of Springdale, stormwater is an important issue. As a city we have been blessed with many rivers and streams that enhance our quality of life. In fact, the name Springdale was derived from the abundant local springs that feed many of our streams such as Spring Creek.

For those not familiar with Springdale, Spring Creek runs through the middle of downtown and has always been a part of Springdale's culture.

Our streams not only convey stormwater, they provide habitat for fish and other wildlife. This habitat can be greatly impaired by sediment and other pollutants inherent with urban development. However, in order to maintain our quality of life we need to protect our natural resources.

We hope that this website will help everyone understand why the stormwater program is vital to our prosperity and give citizens the knowledge they need to help us in our goal of protecting these resources. Thank you for your interest in our program and should you have any questions or comments please feel free to give us a call at 479-750-8105.

Remember, everyone lives downstream!
