Springdale, Ark- On Monday, Mayor Doug Sprouse joined Children's Safety Center of Washington County and students from LISA Academy Springdale in placing pinwheels at the entrance of Downtown Springdale in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which runs through the month of April.
"All cross the nation, communities are coming together to raise awareness about child abuse in their hometowns," according to the Children's Safety Center of Washington County website.
