Springdale, Arkansas — August 29, 2025 — The City of Springdale is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Shaw Family Park Baseball Complex, a premier addition to the city’s recreational facilities and a flagship project of the 2023 Parks Bond Program.
The ribbon cutting event will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the south east side of Shaw Family Park, located at 7140 W. County Line Road. City Officials, Shaw Family, Key Stakeholders, Community Members, and Media are invited to attend and celebrate the unveiling of this state-of-the-art baseball complex.
The new complex features artificial turf fields with the highest quality turf available, ensuring top-level playability, durability, and weather resilience. These fields will help significantly decrease rainouts, allowing for more consistent scheduling and fewer cancellations. This modern upgrade will provide athletes with consistent playing conditions and reduced maintenance downtime, extending the baseball season and creating more opportunities for youth engagement.
In addition to the turf, the complex is equipped with upgraded LED lighting systems that enhance visibility for players and fans while improving energy efficiency. Spectators will enjoy new and improved amenities designed to make the baseball experience more comfortable and enjoyable for the entire community.
