A Message from Mayor Doug Sprouse
āThe City of Springdale is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own, Anthony āTonyā Spero, who passed away last night in an off-duty accident. Notice from Springdale Water Utilities
Starting today, Springdale Water Utilities (SWU) personnel will be performing a road closure of the portion of West Huntsville Ave that is located between Westbury Street and Westfield Street. Both Westbury and Westfield streets will be fully accessible at all times and both streets will also serve as a detour around the work zone/road closure. This work and road closure is necessary to install a sewer tap for the Springdale Fire Departmentās new fire station located on the south side of West Huntsville Ave. Although it is the goal of SWU to complete the crossing tomorrow, restore the driving surface and reopen the road, if complications are encountered involving the excavation of rock, the closure could extend into Wednesday, August 6th. If it does become necessary to reclose the road on Wednesday, road plates will be utilized to reopen the road overnight from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning.
Thank you and please contact SWU at (479) 751- 5751 and ask for dispatch for additional information if needed.
